dear finn,
today was one of those rare days when dad didn't have to work, and he didn't have plans to go snowmobiling either (like he usually does on saturday's), so we decided to go on a fun family outing to the rec center. you haven't really been in water, other than bath water, since you were 3 or 4 months old, so we were curious to see what you thought of it this time. we made sure to buy you some swim diapers as well as a floaty, and off we went to go swimming!
you really seemed to like the water, the only downside was that it was a bit chilly. we were indoors, but the pool water wasn't very warm, and i think the cold air from outside must have been wafting in. your bottom lip kept quivering, and you didn't show too many signs of excitement. you didn't show any signs of hating it, either, so that's why i think you really do like the water. :) we will have to go again sometime when it gets warmer. i think once you start walking you will love to play in the kiddy pool!
it was mostly just fun to get to spend time together as a family. i love you and dad (and your brothers, who obviously couldn't come to the pool with us ;)) more than any of you will ever know!
