..president's day..

dear finn,

today is president's day....a day our nation sets aside to celebrate the lives of all our president's. mostly everyone just likes it because for most people it's a day off work. :) we were lucky enough to have dad all to ourselves today, so like saturday, we decided to do something fun!

it is kind of hard to think of activities that you will like. i mean, you are only 10 months old and can't walk or talk or express your feelings, so we just have to take wild guesses on the things we think you may enjoy. dad thought it would be fun to take you to the clark planetarium at the gateway. really i think dad just wanted to go there, but it was something fun and different, so we decided to go.

there were no movies playing that we thought you'd enjoy, so instead we just walked around and looked at the different things......like the displays of mars and the moon, and a few other things that i don't really know what they were. ;) you always enjoy people watching, and because everything in there is so life-size and huge, i really think you enjoyed yourself. :)

after we were done strolling through the planetarium, we met up for lunch with grandma cindy. momma was cravin' mexican food today, so we went to the mexican restaurant on 33rd in slc. we were going to wait and tell grandma our exciting news on her birthday, but for some reason dad couldn't contain himself so we spilled the beans at lunch (not literally, and no pun intended!). grandma was so excited. i don't know if she really believed us at first! she loves having you as a grandson more than anything in the world, and i know she is excited to have another grandbaby to love and spoil. :)

i'm so happy we got another day to spend together as a family, we sure did have fun!
