..my little valentine..

dear baby finn,

happy first valentine's day!! this is the one day each year that we commemorate love, and even though that is something we should celebrate and practice year round, like easter, thanksgiving and christmas, it's always nice to take a day and really make the most out of it. :)

i woke up this morning and made my men breakfast! heart shaped pancakes, bacon, eggs and blueberry muffins. i think you particularly enjoyed the pancakes. ;) after you morning nap i gave you a present from your dad and i. a cute red/white striped valentine's outfit and a bead maze. you love your new toy!

after getting ready, we went up to park city to take some flowers and chocolates to grandma cindy. sadly, she wasn't home, so we just dropped them off on her doorstep. you fell asleep in the car, which i guess counted for your afternoon nap. unfortunately, you were in a pretty grumpy mood the rest of the day. i think it's because the excitement of the morning through you off a bit, and you weren't on your normal schedule. such is life.

when dad got home, you two took some flowers to nanny goat, while i made dinner at home. dad and i decided a few years ago that it's not worth it to go out to dinner on valentine's day. the long lines and poor service just aren't worth it to us! besides, your momma's home cookin' is better than most restaurants, anyway. ;) so the three of us enjoyed a romantic, candlelit dinner together. i made shrimp scampi, but i'm not sure we even let you try any, sorry! you can take my word that it was delicious, and i promise next time i'll let you have a bite.:) we ended our dinner with some delicious coldstone ice cream, which obviously you loved.

it was a perfect valentine's day, spent with my four men. how lucky am i to have so many wonderful men in my life?!?! i know, pretty dang lucky. :)
