dear finn,
dad's whole life, he has dreamed of owning his own hot tub. he has always said that he needs one, because his work is manual labor, and he is so sore at the end of each day and needs a place to relax and soothe his muscles. while i do kind of buy it, i still think he just likes sitting in there for fun. :) anyway, last year his dream of owning a hot tub started to became a reality when one of his friends (who owns a hot tub store) told him he could get him a really nice hot tub for almost half off! so we set to work clearing a space for it in the backyard (hence, the new patio) and started to save our money. due to one thing or another, we didn't get our hut tub as early as we would have liked. dad was hoping for it by early fall of last year, but we still hadn't saved enough. so we started making payments, and by january of this year we had paid for it in full and were ready to finally have that hot tub dad had always dreamed of!
well, last night the hot tub was delivered and installed, in the middle of a blizzard! i'm pretty sure if dad weren't friends with the guys installing it, they would have said sorry, we'll come another day. haha but since they knew how excited dad was, they braved the storm. they got it all hooked up, filled it with water and i'm pretty sure dad spent the longest night sleep of his life, wondering if the water had warmed up enough for him to go sit in it! lol when i woke up this morning (at 7:30) guess where dad was?? sitting out in his beloved hot tub! silly dad. ;)
when he got home from work tonight, we dipped you in for a few seconds and you loved it, as we figured you would. you are a little fish, that's for sure. :) you can't stay in if for very long because the water is too hot for your tiny body, but as you get older you'll be able to spend more time in it, and i know you'll love it just as much as dad does.
love you fish....i mean, finn. ;)
love,
mom
