dear finn,
today is grandma cindy's birthday! she turned 35 years old. i know it's weird that she is only 10 years older than me....we just don't ask questions. ;) anyhow, she is looking just as beautiful and young as ever! i think having a new grandson has been the best thing that has happened to her this past year.....she loves you more than anything.
grandma cindy is so special to us, we love her sooo much. she loves spending time with you, and you love spending time with her. i'd have to say she is your second favorite person in the world, and a close second at that (right behind dad, who is an obvious #1). you light up whenever grandma comes over, and you always seem to do new tricks for her before you'll do them for anyone else. she is the one who taught you how to do so many of the things that we love watching you do....patty-cake being one of our favorites. :) she swears on her life that you said "grandma" for her the other day. i myself am not quite sure, but then again she's the one that has taught you so many things, i wouldn't be surprised if you really did say it.
for her birthday we gave her a new cell phone. she has been needing/wanting one for a while and was sooo happy to finally have one that works! we got her a smart phone....i'm not sure she understands how to use it yet, but she'll figure it out in time. ;) last night her and i went to dinner at our favorite restaurant, five all's. it was as delicious as always and i savored every bite. today she had a busy day, first church, then carol marriott took her to lunch. we met her up at grandma&grandpa hansen's house and brought a cake, a card and some flowers. we didn't spend tons of time with her because she had to be back in park city to go to dinner with uncle zac, but at least we got to see her on her birthday. :)
i'd have to say you are probably one of the highlights of her day, every day she gets to see you, so i'm sure this birthday was made fabulous by you! you have a knack of doing that to people, mr. you're just the best. :)
happy birthday grandma cindy, we love you more than you'll ever know!
love,
mom
