dear finn,
last night we took you to your first bees (baseball) game, and let me tell you, it was a blast! the main reason we wanted to go was because it was the 4th of july and we knew there would be a good firework show after. i didn't know if we would be able to get tickets so last minute, especially on the 4th of july, but i checked and sure enough tickets were still available! so we invited some friends to come along...we were so happy that the clark's could come...and off to the ball game we went!
the weather was great. it had been overcast all day long so i was worried it might start raining, but it didn't. the clouds also shielded us from the blazing heat of the sun, so that ended up being nice. we found some great seats out on the grass...got some hot dogs for dinner (which you didn't enjoy until a few hours later ;)) and watched the ball game. okay i will be honest, we really didn't watch most of the game. we just talked to ben and jen, took pictures of you and mr. krew, and waited for the end of the game for the firework show!
i was so worried about how you would handle the fireworks...on the one hand i thought you might like them because you are so obsessed with lights. but on the other hand, they are SO loud, and i didn't know if that would scare you or not. so when it was time for them to begin, daddy just covered your ears with his hands and guess what? you didn't mind them one bit! you just stared at them the whole time...didn't get startled by the loud noises...didn't cry. i really think you liked them! mr. krew didn't mind them either, he actually fell asleep! it will be interesting to see if you like fireworks as you get older...your dad is sure obsessed with them so you might be as well. ;)
we all had so much fun at the game and maybe it will be a tradition we hold onto in the years to come!
