today is the 4th of july...our country's independence day!! this is a very special day for america, and as you grow older and learn the history of the united states and what had to happen in order for us to be able to celebrate this day i know it will become a holiday that you will enjoy celebrating. :-) i think you'll enjoy the parades, bbq's and fireworks too!
i hope to establish some fun 4th of july traditions in the years to come. because we were all so exhausted from our big weekend (preparing for your blessing and hosting the party after church), unfortunately we didn't make it to breakfast or any parades. next year we will though, i promise! you and i went to lunch with grandma cindy and uncle zac while daddy helped nanny goat paint her house. we had mexican food...not very patriotic i guess. but tonight we are taking you to your first baseball game, and there is a firework show after the game...nothin more patriotic than that! i cant wait to see if you like the fireworks, i have a feeling you might!
