today you celebrated your first thanksgiving, and dad and i celebrated our first thanksgiving as parents. it was a wonderful day, full of family and food. we ate dinner out at the osborne's house...it was delicious. you ate the same food as us! turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, corn, yams and pie. you particularly seemed to like pumpkin pie. ;) after eating and visiting with everyone there we headed up to farmington to hang out with the taylor's and nanny goat. uncle taylor has a mini "farm" in his backyard...lots of ducks, chickens and roosters! they were very loud and at first you were a bit skeptical...at one point i thought you might cry. but once you got used to them you couldn't stop staring! we will have to take you to the farm or a zoo next spring. :) after visiting with them for a while we came home and put you to bed, you were exhausted from a busy day of eating and hanging out.
this thanksgiving was particularly special for me. being a mother is one of the greatest blessings i have ever received. i feel so lucky and honored to be your mommy baby finn. you bring so much happiness, love and laughter to my life. i see the world differently because of you, and i don't remember what life was even like before you came into our family. i know your dad feels the same. every morning we wake up to your smiling cute face we are reminded what an amazing little boy we were blessed with. seriously finn, you are the best and i know we didn't do anything to deserve you...you are too good. nevertheless we are beyond thankful you are ours for time and all eternity.
