..daylight savings time..

dear finn,

normally daylight savings in the fall is a thing to rejoice over. "falling back" an hour always feels so good. however, i was dreading it this year, because i was worried it would totally screw up your schedule. i have heard so many parents of young kinds complain about daylight savings, and how the time change messed their kids up for weeks. well, the day came and went, and guess what?? you are sleeping an hour longer than before, if you can believe that!

sunday you woke up at 6:30 (because that was your clock's 7:30), so dad and i just let you talk to yourself for a while, hoping you'd fall back to sleep. and you did. you then woke up at the new 7:30, which was your 8:30, happy as a clam. i was thrilled!

the next day you woke up at 8:15, and today you woke up at 8:00, which is so surprising to me because that is what was 9 o'clock. i am loving it, and hope that it continues. something about that extra half hour of sleep just does the body good.
true to your personality you just go with the flow...roll with the tide...rise to the occasion. i love it, and am so happy you're mine. :) love you mister.

love,
mom
