one of the best parts of the holiday season (for me anyway) are all the traditions that are carried out from year to year. to me, that is what christmas is all about. each year i look forward to going to parties and doing fun things that we have done in years past, and i also love starting new traditions. as this is your first december, and first holiday season, i have been so excited to introduce you to some of our beloved family traditions that make each and every christmas so fun and memorable. aunt kathy's annual cookie party is one of those traditions.
ever since dad and i have been married we have attended this party. whether we stay all night or stop by for a short time, i always look forward to going and catching up with everyone in the keller family. since every family has grown so much, it seems that we rarely see anyone anymore, but you can count on almost everyone showing up to this event! all the cookies are pre-baked and ready to be frosted and decorated, and there is always some yummy dinner to eat as well. although i love decorating - and eating! - cookies, for me this night is more about catching up with everyone and finding out what is new in everyone's lives. it's so great to visit with everyone right around christmas time, and of course everyone was interested in seeing how big and handsome you are getting. cousin steph named you "best dressed baby," and i have to say, i think she is spot on. ;) your baby toms and true religion jeans were quite a hit! as was your adorable face. cousin ashley (phillips) commented on how much she loves your mouth. she said you have a very expressive mouth, which interestingly enough, she isn't the first person to say that about you.....so it must be true! i have always loved your mouth, because you've got my shape and dad's lips. and oh...those lips! they are yummy. :)
