..second cousins..

tonight you met two of your second cousins, charlotte and sawyer, for the first time! my cousin ally (peterson) sweeney adopted a darling african american girl back in january, right after she was born. her and her husband had been trying to adopt a little girl for quite some time and were at the point where they almost gave up trying because things just weren't working out. well, one cold january afternoon they got a call from the adoption agency that they had been working with, telling them there was a little girl in georgia and if they wanted her they had to fly out that very moment! so they did, and when they got there they welcomed charlotte tatiana sweeney to their family. tonight the adoption was finalized, so they threw a party in honor of little charlotte officially becoming a sweeney. she is an absolute doll, and i am so glad we finally got to meet her!

one of my other cousins, steve peterson (ally's brother) and his wife had a little baby girl back in april. she was born april 18th, just 8 days after you! we met her for the first time tonight as well. i cannot believe you two are the same age...either she is TINY or you are HUGE, or maybe a mix of both! haha i still can't get over the size difference. i am almost afraid for your doctors appointment tomorrow - i'm not sure i want to know what you weigh, or what percentile you're in! but little sawyer was adorable as well, and it was so fun to take pictures of you and your two second cousins. :-)
