..fall photos..

dear baby finn,

if you didn't already know this about me, i love to take pictures...'specially of my handsome lil' man! ;) in some ways you are the perfect photographic subject (bc you are the cutest little man there ever was!) but in other ways you are a bit difficult to take pictures of (like how you'll be so smiley and happy but the second you see the camera you clam up and look the opposite direction)! anyway, we don't let the difficulties stop us from taking plenty of pictures, do we?! i must say i think you are getting better at not being so camera shy, and i also think i am starting to find ways of making you smile, even with the big camera in tow. :)

for months now i have been planning to take you up to park city to take pictures in the leaves, as soon as they changed colors of course. at first i was just going to have kelly (from gallery photography) take pictures of us in the leaves, but then i decided to switch that photo session to his studio so we could get a wider variety of pictures. i realized that we have a very nice camera and that for a picture as simple as you sitting in a big pile of leaves, i was perfectly capable of taking such a picture.

like i said, i have been planning this for months now, and have had your outfit all picked out! when i first bought this outfit the clothes were waaaaay too big for you, and as the date drew closer and closer for us to take these pictures, the clothes didn't seem to be getting any smaller on your cute little body, so i was worried they wouldn't fit. and i mean, the clock has been ticking because soon the leaves will be covered in snow (or at least it seems that's the way it works....snow by mid-october, especially up in park city).

yesterday was the perfect day for our photo shoot. it was sunny and pretty cool, and the leaves were absolutely beautiful. we know of a perfect spot up in park city....it is right behind the williams house, and we go there every few years to take fall pictures. also, now that grandma cindy is living back up in park city we have more of a reason to go up there, which we love since it's such a pretty place. :) anyway, it took us a while to get the perfect picture. in fact, we went to this great spot and we just couldn't get a smile out of you. you had a poopy dipey and were so exhausted, so we decided we'd go back to grandma's house and rest for a while and try taking pictures later.

i am so glad we went back and gave it another shot, because i got some absolutely precious, priceless and perfect pictures of you in the leaves...in your perfect outfit...smiling like you are the poster baby of some children's clothing store! they are some of my favorite pictures of you, and i know we will cherish them for years to come. :)
see...i told you they were adorable!!!

love you cute man!

love,
mom
