..happy birthday, big brother..

dear finn,

today (september 25th) we celebrated your big brother, claus', birthday! he turned three years old! i cannot even believe how fast the time flies...it seems like just yesterday we were surprised with him on christmas morning. :)

i don't think you could ask for a better big brother than claus. he loves you soooooo much, and is so protective of you. one of my favorite memories of the first few weeks being home with you was the way claus would sit by any visitor who was holding you when they came over to our house to see you. he wanted to be right there to make sure they didn't hurt you! i am serious, it was so cute! claus likes to be sitting by us wherever we are in the house. if we are upstairs in mom and dad's room, claus is there too. if we are in the kitchen, claus is usually in the living room sitting on the couch nearest to us. if we are downstairs on the couch, claus is too. he is mama's little sidekick and i just know he loves being with you, his little brother. :)

claus loves to smother you with kisses, all.the.time! and i honestly think you must like it because you usually open your mouth for more! haha i guess it is kinda gross... as much as he loves you, he knows to stay an arms length away from you because you always grab is hair and pull hard, which i am sure kind of hurts him. but he is so patient with you, and if you do grab his hair he tolerates it until i pull your fingers away.

i am so happy you have at least one brother who loves you tons! duke is still warming up to you, or maybe it's just that he doesn't give as freely of his love and affection for you. ;)

let's say it one more time...happy birthday claustrophobs, we all love you more than you'll know!!
